New Reverse Vending Machine for recycling

GDS is very proud to unveil at IFAT Entsorga (Munich, 7th May) its brand new machine to optimize the recycling process of empty containers such as PET or glass bottles, aluminium cans or other recyclable materials.

The new Reverse Vending Machine integrates innovative technologies to accurately accept, sort and collect the containers.

The acceptor module recognizes and accepts the containers depending on their barcodes or 2D codes (up to10000 codes can be stored in the system). An optional shutter can be added for more user safety. The system accepts up to 30 bottles per minute.

To improve the storage capacity of the machine, a compactor or shredder module with sorting function can be added to the Reverse Vending Machine.

The recyclable containers are then collected into one or two boxes (or bags) placed at the bottom of the machine. Depending on the compactor / shredder module installed, the total collection capacity goes from 500 to 2500/3000 containers.

The system can manage the deposit refund trough printed voucher, loyalty points added to a chip card or delivery of cash.

The machine has a LCD display, available in various sizes for help functions and user interface.
It can have also accommodate an additional LCD display for advertising.

The system can have an optional connectivity via Ethernet, WiFi, GSM to collect the information of the machine in case of market analysis and marketing campaigns.

The system requires less than 1 m2 of space (the base is 830 x 830 mm).

“Thanks to the quality of internal components we think our GDS Reverse Vending Machine can generate a great value by optimizing the recycling processes and by reducing associated costs – says Gian Luigi Salbego, GDS Kiosk Division Manager  – moreover it has been demonstrated that when installed in retail stores, it is perceived as a better service and it increases customer loyalty.

Come to see the new Reverse Vending Machine at IFAT Entsorga, Munich / 7th May – 11th May (booth Ecochimica n. B3.133).
